Price for this job
How it works
Square feet is width times height, divided by 144, times the quantity. Material is square feet times your cost, plus waste, plus your markup. Labor is minutes per sign, times the quantity, at your shop rate. The price is the two added together, or your minimum charge if that's higher.
The numbers already filled in are a 4 x 8 ft panel: 32 square feet at $3.50 is $112, $128.80 with 15% waste, $257.60 with 100% markup. Add 45 minutes at $85 an hour, $63.75, and it comes to $321.35. These are examples, so put in your own costs. What a sign sells for varies a lot by region and by the work, so check it against what your local market pays.
What this leaves out
Install, travel, permits and design time, which most shops price separately. It also treats waste as a flat percent, which is close for roll media. For rigid sheets, a job that only just doesn't fit on a sheet can waste far more, so check how it nests.
