Price for this job

How it works

A 3 x 8 ft banner is 24 square feet. At $0.95 for media and ink with 10% waste, that costs you $25.08, or $62.70 with a 150% markup. Twenty minutes at $85 an hour is $28.33, so the price is $91.03. These numbers are examples. Put in your own, and check them against what your market pays.

What changes a banner price

Finishing time. Hemming and grommets take longer as the perimeter grows, so an 8 ft banner isn't twice the work of a 4 ft one, but it isn't the same either. Time a few and use real minutes.

Width against your media. A banner wider than your widest roll needs a seam, or a different material. That's worth an extra charge.

Volume. Setup only happens once. The tenth identical banner takes less labor than the first, which is why you can drop the price and keep your margin.

A minimum. A tiny banner still takes a phone call, a file check and a printer setup. Your minimum charge covers that.
