Moving off EstiMate sign software
I make SignQuote, so weigh this knowing that. If EstiMate still works for you and you can renew, there's no rush to move. This page is for shops that can't, or don't want to wait to find out.
What EstiMate users have reported
On the Signs101 forum, from late 2023 on, some EstiMate users said their license renewals stopped working and calls and emails went unanswered. Another user in the same thread said in January 2024 that it was still working fine for them, and a post in December 2024 described the renewal trouble again. Read the thread.
EstiMate's own site still loads as of November 5, 2026, with its support contacts listed, so try them first. I can't tell you whether it's been discontinued, and I'm not going to guess.
Save these before you move
- Your pricing Screenshots or printouts of your pricing screens: material costs, markups, labor rates and minimums. That's the part that took years to get right.
- Your open quotes If your version exports quotes to PDF or a spreadsheet, export the ones still waiting on an answer.
- Your customer list Names and contacts for the customers you quote often.
If you move to SignQuote
- I load your prices Send me those screenshots or your price sheet in any shape and I'll set up your price book for free. Email me.
- It quotes the same kinds of jobs Panels, banners, vinyl, wide format, wraps by vehicle, channel letters and more, priced from size with your costs and margin on every line.
- Your customer approves online They get a link with the PDF, can tick optional extras like install, ask for a change, or approve and pay your deposit through your own payment link.
- One price for the shop $49 a month however many people quote. Cancel any time.
What it won't do: job tracking, work orders, purchase orders or invoicing. If you used EstiMate for those too, SignQuote only replaces the quoting half.
Other places to look
SignShop Profit and SignTracker both have pages for shops leaving EstiMate, and both cover more of the shop side than SignQuote does. See how they compare on price and features.
Try it on a real job
Three quotes are free with no card. If you sign up and it isn't useful, ask within 30 days of your first payment and you get it back.
